The EHT180-type electrohydraulic power unit is a traction unit designed for the transport of transportation assemblies along rails of ground rack-trail in a horizontal level or declination up to 35°
The EHT180-type electrohydraulic power unit may be used in environments involving hazard of methane and coal dust explosion according to EN 1127-2. It is construed according to standard EC 94/9 ATEX for group I, category M2.
The electrohydraulic power unit consists from the following parts:
-drive unit
-power unit
-braking carriage
-drawbars and safety cables
The rack power unit with electrohydraulic drive unit EHT 180 is a traction unit designed for the transport of heavy loads and materials in limited distance, on transport routes in underground mining parts of up to 35°declination. The load is transported on ground rack-trail that constitutes of railway segments. In the middle of each segment, a rack bar is welded for transmission of traction force from the traction unit. Assembly for transport usually constitutes of driving section, engine section, and safety mechanical break. Individual parts of the assembly are connected by drawbars and additional safety steel cables. Movement of the power unit is ensured by a lantern pinion via planetary gear box or hydroengines Poclain MS18 (MSE18) located in drive unit.
