Mine railway locomotive of type DLP50F is intended for transportation of materials or persons in horizontal mining parts on tracked traces with wheel track 550, 600, 620, 750 or 900 mm.
The locomotive can be used in mediums with explosion hazard of methane and dust coal to the degree SNM 2 according to paragraph 232 Notice ČBÚ č. 22/1989 digest as amended by the further rules. According to regulation of government No. NV 23/2003 (direction of EP and Council of EU 94/9/ES) the arrangement is included in the group I and category M2. The locomotive matches the requirements NV 176/2008 (direction of EP and Council of EU 2006/42/ES).
The locomotive is demountable on three mounting units to facilitation its transportation on mining workplace. Control over the locomotive is accomplished from cabins, which are furnished by control, check and security components and by equipment serving its safe operating. Performance of cabin guarantee that service has good outlook on track and reliable protection from accidents and unfavorable outside influences. Motor part is formed by three-cylinder diesel engine CUMMINS A2300F and fluid drive. The engine is adapted for usage in mining conditions by protection of sucking and exhaust tract by equipment which inhibits the initiation of explosion of methane and the transfer of methane into the unprotected atmosphere.Fumes are cooled by water in special exhaust wardrobe so that its temperature wouldn’t be higher than 70°C.Starting engine is performed by hydraulic starter.The transfer of performance on axle tree taxi cycles is provided by hydraulic system of gear with automatic regulation of performance over interconnected change gearboxes which are located on axle trees. Hydraulic system enables continuous start with possibility to usage maximum twist moment, a continuous change of output parameter of locomotive near constant input parameter of gas-engine, excellent dynamic character, perfect protection from over freight of gas-engine and effectual braking of locomotive. Working regime of locomotives, speed, beaten motohours, pressure and temperature rates of diesel hydraulic aggregate are followed by electronic, control and security system. If the determinate rates be exceeded, the motor will switch off and the locomotive will stop.
