Arched mine support trimmer SK1
The SK 1 arched mine support trimmer, (hereafter referred to as a trimmer) is a facility designed for cutting steel profiles of arched mine supports at the maximum size of 29 kg/m in K or P sections.
The trimmer consists of a frame established on a rail undercarriage with the gauge ranging from 600 to 900 mm (depending on customer requirements) and a shearing mechanism. The shearing mechanism consisting of two direct fluid engines is positioned on the upper frame plate. The piston rods of the fluid engines are mutually connected by a hinged rocker-arm. A blade carrier with a blade is positioned on the medium part of the rocker-arm. The blade is moved along side guides with a profile hole into which the trimmed material is fed. A stationary blade is located on the left side guide. Both side guides are bolted to the face plate fitted with supports. The trimmer is controlled by a lever-type hydraulic controller located in the back of the trimmer.
The trimmer may be used in environments involving hazards of methane and coal dust explosion up to the degree SNM2 according to § 232 of the Decree of the Czech Mining Office no. 22/1989 Coll., as amended. According to the Government Order No. GO 23/2003 (Directive of European Parliament and Council EU 94/9/EC) the equipment is ranked within the group I., category M2 and meets all requirements of GO 176/2008 (Directive of European Parliament and Council EU 2006/42/EC).
