Universal flameproof lamp NSU14/28
The NSU14/28 flameproof universal lamp is designed as a source of light for diesel-powered monorail and surface mine locomotives, loaders and other shaft machinery. The lamp is powered by the mine machinery electric circuit.
The NSU14/28 flameproof lamp is a lamp in a rigid enclosure. With busbar space fitted with two flameproof bushings to house the incoming supply cable and with a mounting flange to fix the lamp to the machine. The reflector is fitted with two bulbs and is placed in a rigid lamp enclosure. The main bulb has two fibres offering the option of switching over between a close- and long-range modes. The fibres are switched over by means of a four-pole switch, which is at the same time used to switch the reflector off or over to activate the other, red bulb. There is also a fuse to protect the electric circuit against overloading. The glass inserted into the frontal flange of the rigid enclosure is fitted with a grate providing protection against mechanical damage. The electric connection between busbar space and terminal box is made through flameproof bushing. The input of supply cable is made through flameproof cable gland into terminal box. The enclosure is designed with a flange to fix the lamp to the machine.
The flameproof lamp may be used in environments involving hazards of methane and coal dust explosion. According to the Government Statute No. NV 23/2003 (Direction of European Parliament and Counsel of European Union EU 94/9/ES) is equipment ranked with group I, category M2 and meets all requirements NV 176/2008 (Direction of European Parliament and Counsel of European Union EU 2006/42/ES). The facility must be switched off whenever an explosive atmosphere emerges.
