Leoš Fojtík strengthens FERRIT as Business Development Director

A new member of the FERRIT team is Business Development Director Leoš Fojtík. In this short interview, he shares his professional journey, motivation, and goals for his new role.

1. Could you briefly introduce yourself – something about you, your family, and your education?
My name is Leoš Fojtík, I have two children, and I spend most of my free time with them.
I studied Occupational Health and Safety, but already during my studies I knew I wanted to focus more on business and sales rather than this specific field. That’s why I have been heading towards business activities, project development, and building customer relationships since the beginning of my career.

2. What did your career path look like before you became Business Development Director?
My career path has been quite diverse. I have been involved in business my whole life – I was among the first to start importing Xiaomi to the Czech Republic. It was a great experience, even though we didn’t manage to secure exclusive distribution. After that, I worked in various fields, including the electronic components business.

A significant part of my career then took place in a manufacturing company in Kopřivnice, where I went through several key roles – from purchasing, planning, and production to sales in the automotive segment for Europe and the USA. Thanks to this, I now understand the company as a whole – not only from a sales perspective, but also in terms of processes, production, and quality.

3. What do you enjoy outside of work – do you have any hobbies or activities that help you switch off?
I spend most of my time with my family. I really enjoy ice hockey – currently I “coach” my sons, so I spend a lot of time at the rink and basically freeze most of the year.
When I need to clear my head, I like to go for a hike to Ondřejník, which is close to my home. It’s the perfect combination of movement and peace.

4. If you could implement one key change in your first 100 days at Ferrit, what would it be?
I would mainly like to set a clear direction for our department and contribute to strengthening FERRIT’s global presence.
I believe that the management of FERRIT has a clear vision of where the company is heading and where it wants to go – and I would like to actively contribute to that journey.
