Our business trip to Hanoi was not only about new opportunities but also about unexpected Czech encounters. On our very first day, we were welcomed by Mr. David, our local business partner, who speaks fluent Czech and guided us not only through business matters but also around the city.
During lunch, we met his friend, who once trained as a welder in Kopřivnice and is now
a successful entrepreneur in Vietnam. It was in his thriving restaurant that we enjoyed excellent Vietnamese cuisine.
The most surprising experience? Hearing Czech spoken in the middle of bustling Hanoi
— thousands of kilometers from home.
