FERRIT s.r.o. presents the DLZ110F.NZD rack-and-pinion locomotive, designed for reliable and controlled transport in tunnels and underground operations. The locomotive operates on the NZD600/900 ground rack rail system in horizontal alignment and inclinations of up to 30°, following proven mining design principles to ensure excellent stability, traction, and safety.
Ferrit has delivered dozens of these locomotives worldwide, with a strong track record of durability. Thanks to the robust rack system, DLZ110F.NZD units routinely transport loads exceeding 20 tons even on steep gradients.
The locomotive features a flameproof four-cylinder diesel engine, a water-cooled exhaust system (< 70 °C), and a driving unit powered by either two hydraulic motors or a planetary gearbox. A “doubled” configuration with two engine parts is available for projects requiring higher power and redundancy.
All sections are connected with rods and safety ropes, with the emergency brake placed directly in the transport set. REM-CON-X remote operation ensures safe handling even in confined tunnel spaces. Continuous electronic monitoring controls temperature, pressure, speed, and operating hours, with automatic shutdown if preset limits are exceeded.
